If you love golf, the Emerald Coast is the place for you! Many challenging courses are available for your golfing pleasure. Each of our major cities has very nice municipal courses. In addition, one or more courses are available at each of our military bases, including Pensacola NAS, Whiting Field, Hurlburt Field, and Eglin Air Force Base.

Meadowbrook Golf Group operates several nice courses throughout the Emerald Coast community, including Shalimar Pointe, Hidden Creek, Tiger Point, and Scenic Hills. Another notable course is The Moors, located just off Interstate 10 in Milton. The Moors is the home of the Senior PGA Tour's Emerald Coast Classic.

Featured Hole: Par 3 No. 7 at Hidden Creek Golf Club in Navarre, Florida

A very picturesque and sometimes challenging hole! This is really a beautiful golf hole. It is not uncommon to see waterfowl on the lake, including herons, egrets, ducks, and loons.

From the blue tees, you're looking at about 175 yards over the lake to an elevated green. This is usually a 5 iron shot for me, depending upon the wind. From the edge of the green, the short fairway slopes sharply back to the lake; so to be putting, your tee shot must carry well onto the green. Good luck if the pin is tucked close to the front! If you tend to pull the ball-like me--watch for the OB just off the left edge of the green. A deep bunker and a large mound await you if you push it right.

Once on the green, a 3-putt is a reality if you're not careful! The green slopes sharply downhill and all putts break hard to the lake. Try Hidden Creek and enjoy playing No. 7! I hope to see you there!
